Religious Education

Our religion, our faith and our beliefs are reflected in what we say and how we behave. Every religion is different; every faith and every belief held is personal. To understand the differences is to learn to appreciate the common ground we share.

A variety of world religions are explored and revisited across year groups with opportunities to compare beliefs and practices. We celebrate the diversity that exists both within and between communities. Girls acquire their knowledge and develop their religious thinking through a range of activities involving other subjects such as art, drama and philosophy.

The teaching of religions fosters a questioning mindset and encourages children to have an inquisitive outlook on the world around them. We facilitate the girls’ spiritual, moral, cultural, mental, and physical development, so that they contribute more confidently to a compassionate and inclusive society.
